What we will be discussing here is a process to help the mass community come out of this problem. You can change the default font and save the font of your choice (lets take Comic Sans for example) as the default font in Gmail. To know the procedure in detail just read on :

Open Gmail and then Log-in to your account. When you account opens up just go to the settings section.

When the Settings window opens up navigate to the tab “Labs” and under that search for “Default Text Styling”. Having reached up here just mark the “Enable” option alongside (as shown below).

Having done with the above save your changes by clicking  “Save changes” at the bottom of the page.

This operation takes you back to your Gmail in-box. From here again you have to go to “Settings” and under the “General” tab you should find an option “Default Text Style” enabled where you can change your default font to the one of your choice.

Choose a font from the list and then save the changes. Your default font for Gmail has been changed. You need not to change it all over again each time you go in to compose a mail.
