As is the custom of today, many individuals need to work with many windows open simultaneously and if they have the option of distributing these opened applications over multiple desktops with the option of switching between them then they certainly stand at a much more advantageous position. Thus the use of multiple desktops facilitates many users to great extent.

Activating Multiple Desktops :

Having been updated about the need and advantages of multiple desktops you should be keen to know how to activate this feature in your computer. Lets turn our heed towards that aspect.

Activate  Multiple Desktop by use of Moo0 Multi Desktop:

The main principle on which Moo0 Multi Desktop works is that it expands the number of desktops from unity to four. Moo0 arranges to divide your job into four parts each on a different desktop and then switch between them whenever necessary.

To start off, download Moo0 Multi Desktop and install it by the usual installation procedure. In case of users who are using Windows XP we recommend you to download and install another application Moo0 XP Desktop Heap which is an additional helper program assisting you to amplify the number of opened applications running simultaneously.

When you start the application you should find a small rectangle with 1, 2, 3, 4 written on it. These four numbers indicate the four different desktops. To switch between the desktops just click on the number corresponding the desktop you want to navigate to.

You also have the facility of minimizing and restoring the desired desktops quite conveniently as shortcut procedures are assigned for your benefit. To minimize a desired desktop all that you have to do is to press “ctrl+down arrow” and to restore the desktop back just press “ctrl+up arrow“.

In case the shortcut keys clashes with some other shortcuts of any other application, you have the option of changing the shortcut keys by right clicking on the icon of the application in the Quick Launch bar.

Now you must have been enriched with the knowledge of how to use Moo0 Multi Desktop to enable multiple desktops in your computer but here most of the applications will work in only one desktop at a time i,e an application which is opened in one window cannot be opened in another one simultaneously. Exceptions though occur in this case as well. Certain applications like GIMP does allow simultaneous run in more than one desktops.
