Mozilla launches New Fennec Browser for Android Users
Jublilating news for Android users!! Your Fennec browser for smartphone is here. Mozilla has launched a pre alpha version of web browsing for all its Android users worldwide, incorporated with the latest technical updates to quench the thirst of millions of Android fans all round the web world. Fennec is just a mobile web browser open for all platforms under the sun. The previous version of Fennec, if installed on your Android smartphone was released about May, 2010. The previous build released, was definitely not official as it was constructed and designed by a sole individual, missing many features. Also the earlier Fennec was designed to be compatible and optimizable with the Droid device.
Brad Lassey, Michael Wu and Alex Pakhotin have collaborated to put their efforts together to bring this product amongst millions of fan followers. Enriched with the latest upgraded features, this version evolves to be more polished than its previous one. Really fast operation supported, you are highly recommended to switch to this browser. Analysts say that continuing operation without the New Fennec would provide you with a poor performance.
However, as aforementioned, this is only a pre-alpha version of web browsing. Hence, Vladimir Vukicevic has tagged some warnings relating this. These are as follows:
1. We’ve only really tested this on the Motorola Droid and the Nexus One.
2. It will likely not eat your phone, but bugs might cause your phone to stop responding, requiring a reboot.
3. Memory usage of this build isn’t great — in many ways it’s a debug build, and we haven’t really done a lot of optimization yet. This could cause some problems with large pages, especially on low memory devices like the Droid.
4. You’ll see the app exit and relaunch on first start, as well as on add-on installs; this is a quirk of our install process, and we’re working to get rid of it.
5. You can’t open links from other apps using Fennec; we should have this for the next build.
6. This build requires Android 2.0 or above, and likely an OpenGL ES 2.0 capable device.
7. Edit: This build must be installed to internal memory, not to a SD card.

This “new” build is actually a tryserver build from a couple weeks ago (tryserver is a system for testing patches before they are checked in to the Mozilla source repository), and the warnings you posted are four months out of date (several of them are not true any more).
