New Facebook Profile – Featured Friends and Better Designs
As a new update Facebook has rolled out new Facebook profile page. If you want to upgrade your Facebook Profile page then visit http://www.facebook.com/about/profile and then click on “Get the New Profile” button.

It should be noted that Facebook is not pushing you this but it opt-in it. Once you opt-in for new Facebook Profile page you cannot back off.
Features associated with New Facebook Profile Page is that at the top of New Profile Page there is a quick profile summary such as where you work, relationship status, education and others. In Privacy Settings you can see only those photos which you have the option to see.

However, the news feed and Account Settings are unchanged.
A new option called “Featured Friends” has been added which I find some what controversial as you will have to specify relationships with your friends, such as family, colleagues which you can find in the left side of your Profile Page.This option might create misunderstandings between friends.
I upgraded to New Facebook Profile. Here, is the look of my Profile Page:

You get the option to show workplace, such as updates by colleagues, chats, Likes. You can also opt out to show them in your Profile.
One of the interesting feature is “Infinite scroll” where you can browse all your photos.

hey there – is anyone reporting issues with the new profile and Windows XP users? I have 2 computers – a desktop which runds XP and a laptop, which runs Windows 7 – I am unable to post links in the new Facebook format from my desktop
