How often do you read through your Facebook News Feed and wish that you could hide specific posts? Facebook is great for sharing, but if you have a lot of friends your news feed has probably been bombarded with posts that don’t interest you. Sadly, this also causes you to miss out on the posts that do interest you.
So what do you do in a situation like this? Thankfully, there’s an online tool called LeFeed that can organize your Facebook news feed for you. LeFeed will learn the type of posts that you like and will recommend new content to you, which you can view in under the “recommendation” section.
With LeFeed, reading your Facebook news feed can become a joy instead of a chore.
Getting Started
1. Signing into LeFeed is pretty self-explanatory. Like all online tools that use Facebook, you’ll have to sign in using your Facebook account.
2. Once you give LeFeed permission to access your account, you’ll be on the Settings page. Here you’ll need to specify which types of feeds you want to see. You can choose any or all the following: recommendations, links, photos, statuses and videos.
You can also choose to automatically “like” posts on Facebook if you “vote up” the post on LeFeed. Lastly, you can choose whether to show image and video thumbnails in your feed.

3. Now you’re ready to read your Facebook news feed in a new way. LeFeed sorts your Facebook news feed by post type. You can select “overview,” which shows all posts or select the type that you want to see.
As you can see besides links, photos, statuses and videos, there’s also a recommendation section – this is where you go to see your recommended content.
4. You will also notice a plus and minus sign next to each post. You must use these to “vote up” posts that you like and are interested in, and “vote down” posts that you are not interested in. You’ll want to do this for as many posts as possible so that LeFeed can give you the right type of recommendations.
5. You can also “like” posts on Facebook from LeFeed, but unfortunately there’s no way to add comments. For that you’ll have to click on the post link to view the item on Facebook and add a comment there.
6. There’s a refresh button in the top right corner of the feed. LeFeed doesn’t automatically refresh your feed, so you’ll have to click this to see any new posts.
7. You can post a status message by using the “update your status” box at the top of the page – right under the navigation bar. It’s pretty basic: just enter your text to post.
There doesn’t seem to be a way to post images/videos or a way to select specific friend lists to share with.
8. LeFeed has a nice way of viewing images. When you click on a thumbnail, it pops up in a full-sized overlay containing the image.
Since LeFeed is constantly learning as you vote up and down posts, it will take time to perfect your feed. However once it has learned enough, LeFeed can serve as an extremely useful tool for blocking out the posts that you don’t want to see in your Facebook news feed.
