recover-deleted-files-from-your-hard-drive-4Are you regretting for the lost important files which you have deleted unfortunately? You can still recover deleted files from your hard disk. The files are stored in the hard drive section on the disk drive of your computer. The section is called sectors.

When you save a file in your hard drive location, actually it is written in the sectors of the hard drive. When storing or writing the file the operating system assigns an individual pointer for each file. Assigning a pointer helps O/S to  find out the location in which the file is stored.( You can also read how to make the folder undeletable)

What actually happens when you delete a file?

When you hit ‘delete’ then actually the pointer value is deleted not the data.Pointer is a value which holds the address of the data sector. There is a certain rule  to assign a pointer value for a file.So it is possible to recover the pointer values which was assigned. And so you also can recover your deleted files as you recovered the pointer value of the deleted file.

File recovery

So you can still recover the deleted files from your hard disk. But this is possible for some times after deletion until the O/S assign the pointer value for other files.Because when the operating system discovers that there are some unused sectors in the hard drive it will try to fill the sector.

So if you want to recover the recently deleted files then it is OK.You can do it.There are many software to do so.

One of the best file recovery software is DiskDigger.

DiskDigger is an awesome Software for the windows platform which helps you to recover the deleted data.It reads the hard drive or USB drive and finds the sectors on which the deleted data was stored and to get back your data.Obviously it can read only those sectors which had not overwritten.

Working with DiskDigger

Download the DiskDigger archive file and extract it.Run the exe file.Select the drive from where you want to recover the the deleted files. After searching, the list of recoverable files will be shown. Now you can save the files by right click on it and specifying the location.
