You can use Windows Media Center to create a slideshow. Windows Media Center do not have the huge functionality like Microsoft PowerPoint, but it can be life saver when you are in far away from PowerPoint. How to create slideshow in Windows Media Center
Start Media Center in Windows 7 and scroll down to Pictures + Videos, click on Picture Library under it.

Scroll across your mouse to highlight the SlideShows option under Actions. Once you get that, you can look for Create SlideShow option there. Click on that to start the procedure.

To proceed in the next step, atfirst give a name for your SlideShow and click on the Next button.

Windows Media Center remote users can bring up the onscreen keyboard by clicking on the OK button. You can navigate to the keyboard components using the directional buttons and click OK to select the currently highlighted letter.

Select Picture Library by the radio button and click Next.

If your picture library have multiple folders, select the folder from where you want to add the pictures. This will show up all the pictures of that folder. Select the image that you want to include. The selected images will be marked by a tick sign. Remote users can navigate through the pictures and click OK to select. Once you are finished, click on Next.

This is the final stage of the creation where you can review your additions by reordering them using the arrows pointing up and down or delete them if you wish using the cross buttons. Even, you can decide to add more pictures from the Add More* button.
Note: Clicking on the Add More button gives you two options: Adding of pictures and adding musics.
If you are satisfied with your work, click Create to complete the procedure.

Adding Music to the SlideShow
Click on Add More* and select Music Library from there . Click on Next.

Select the songs from the Music Library and click Next.


Once you are done, click on the Create button.

How to play that slideshow
After the creation, you can play it by navigating to slideshows under Picture Library, then clicking on the title.
You should see the option to play your slideshow. Simply click on that to enjoy.

Exporting the slideshow
Now if you want to export your slideshow to show it in a different computer, you can burn it into a DVD/CD. For the shake of burning DVD/Cd of your slideshow, go similarly that you did to play the slideshows and scroll across your mouse to highlight actions. Under actions, you should find the additional commands containing an option called as Burn a CD/DVD.

Changing the Settings for the SlideShow
You can however change the settings of the slideshows from media center to make the show more useful as your need.
For that soul purpose, go to Tasks Within Media Center by scrolling your mouse over the Media Center window and click on settings.

Then click on Pictures.

Now choose SlideShows.

Though you can make a few number of changes inĀ settings, you can still decide to show pictures in random order or not as well as Using of pan-and-zoom effect. There is also the options to fix the duration of time for each picture to show and to change the color of the background.
