Speed Up Your Computer Without Any Third Party Tools
Most of the users face speed problem with their Computer. The computer works fine after a fresh installation of the Operating System. But day by day the computer becomes slow. You can speed up your computer without any third party tools. Using the windows feature you can speed up your computer.

I always perform the following tasks to speed up my computer after a regular interval.I don’t use any third party tool.Because most of them occupies an extra memory .Here is some useful way to speed up your computer with out any third party tool.
1. Free up your disk space:
You can free up your disk using Disk Clean up wizard in your windows xp. It identify the unused and unnecessary l files in your computer.This utility helps you to identify the file which you can delete safely. After performing the Disk Clean up wizard it shows the file which can be deleted. Now you can chose the files which you really want to delete or which not.
To use the utility
1. Go to Start > All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup.
If you have more than one drive in your hard disk then it will prompt for which drive you want to perform the task.Select the drive.

2. After scanning in the Disk Cleanup dialog box the files which can be deleted will be listed. Select by un-checking the boxes which you don’t want to delete.

It make take few time to delete the files.After this the computer will be little bit more better.
2. Speed up the access of data in your computer
When you store any files in your disk then the files are not located regularly in the disk .This is called Fragmentation.When files are fragmented,the computer must search the hard disk when the file is opened to gather the pieces.This take time significantly.
Disk Defragment is a windows utility that consolidate the fragmented files.This help your computer to run fast.
Run disk defragment from Start > All Programs>Accessories>System Tools
3. Detect the disk error and repair them
Detect if any bad sector created in your hard drive.The bad sectors slow down your computer.
To detect the bad sector use the Disk Checkup Utility.
From My computer select the drive which you want to check.Right click on it.On tools dialog box click Check Now.
4. Protect your computer from spyware
Spyware makes your computer slow.It also collects the information about your computer with out any permission from you.
5. Remove or uninstall any unusual software
From control panel click Add or Remove Programs.Uninstall the program that you want to uninstall.
6. Remove the unnecessary applications from startup
Run msconfig>Startup


Now free the check box of the application that you want to remove from start up.Here one thing you should always remember,don’t remove any system application.It is some time difficult to identify the name of the application.So take the special care.

7. Make your operating system load faster
Click Run and type there ‘msconfig’ and click OK.
On BOOT.INI tab change the value of the label Timeout with 3 in place of 30.
