Steve Jobs: We are not perfect; Apple to Give Away iPhone Cases

Posted by Tanmay

Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs was quoted in Cupertino (California) in a press conference at company’s headquarters as: “We are not perfect”. This daring statement was made taking iPhone 4 as the basic concern of millions of Apple product consumers worldwide. He announced that Apple Inc. will give free protective cases to its buyers of its latest iPhone to alleviate the problem in which holding the phone with even a bare hand can muffle the wireless signal affiliated to this product.

Steve Jobs referred this as “Antennaegate”. The controversy over this so called AntennaeGate has raised millions of  eyebrows worldwide referring to the main design flaw of the iPhone4. Phones generally have antennas inside. But in designing iPhone4, Apple took a gamble in placing parts of the antennae on the outer case of  the device. This resulted in a additional sensitivity of the wireless maneuver leading to huge distortion of the wireless signal. Hence the expenditure of customers on this luxurious item has led to a general outrage.

Jobs was quoted saying,

We’re not feeling right now that we have a giant problem we need to fix. This has been blown so out of proportion that its incredible. I know its fun to have a story, but its less fun when you are on the other end of it. We’re going to do whatever it takes to make people happy and if we can’t make them happy we’re going to give them a full refund and say we’re really sorry we inconvenienced you, and we’re going to do better next time.

Consumer Reports denied to give iPhone 4 its recommended state of approval and summoned Apple today to compensate all its buyers. Reception of critical analysts from all over the world came into focus. Jobs whole heartedly apologized to the tech universe for the launch of the aforementioned faulty product. The refund that Steve Jobs announced applies to the persons having long term contracts with AT&T Inc., iPhone’s exclusive wireless U.S. carrier.

Many of the consumers already find the Apple response not up to the mark, incompetent and insubstantial. Hope Steve Jobs and his company Apple find a more exceptional and improved product for further use !!
