Since the announcement from Yahoo that they are planning to sell off Delicious, I have been searching for a simple bookmarking service to save my bookmarks. Importing Delicious Bookmarks but could not stick with that. The main reason behind this was that the Bookmark service should have the access from any where any browser. My search was ended up while I came across the wonderful and simple Bookmarking tool Yummymarks which allows you to save and access your Bookmarks from any browser.
Unlike Diigo, it does not require any registration, you can Sign-in with your existing Gmail account, Facebook or Yahoo accounts. Once Signed-in, you can start adding your bookmarks to Yummymarks. Adding the bookmarks comes with different flavors here.

You can add them via the web interface, Bookmarklets even via a Chrome extension (in case that you are using Chrome as browser). You can get the extension from here. Once the Chrome extension is installed, it allows you to add the Bookmarks directly from your browser.

The Bookmarks get online after adding them to your account and displayed chronologically at your account home page with thumbnails, the website link, tags that you have added when bookmarking and having the options of editing, deleting, flagging or making it private at the right side of each entry.
The list of tags resides at the very right-side of the page. By clicking on the tag links, you can filter your Bookmarks.
This pretty simple but well-featured site supports sharing of your bookmarks with publicly available URL.
According to Nick Barrett, the developer of this web apps, the site was made for an experiment purpose. But the experimental application perform well enough in the real field. But the general problem with the popular bookmarking site is that they often can not handle the large amount of traffic and this makes them down sometime. Yummymarks also is not an exception.
Though this service does not have so much features in the way of Bells and Whistles, you can find it as a simple, working at any-where-any-browser, integrated with search & tagging features, with limited social capabilities and a good alternative of Delicious- Check it out.
